Pics with me

Well, there are very few pics with mom.  So many pics with Dad.
Many with me just don't turn out and the girls never smile/look at the camera at the same time.
So, this time, I made a silly face, figuring one of them would do the same...
and, it would have been the most beautiful picture of my kiddos and Reg...but I look like a dork.

Sacred Weekend with Hairball

Ahhh...Sacred Weekend.  My favorite ladies and I determined that seeing each other 2x/year just wasn't cutting the mustard, so we had to get planning.  We figured a quarterly event that is sacred to getting together would be a great idea.  Well, it certainly was because we went to see Hairball in Willmar and had a joyous time.  I had to sleep on my cowboy hat, but other than that, things were A-OK.  Here are a few shots of the fun we had.

The Children's Museum

We'd never been to The Children's Museum before, so we decided that this should be the day.  We went for about 5 hours and the girls never got bored.  It's funny because the children's museum has so many simple little things that just seem boring to adults.  I like to sit and just watch how they react before I do because all the stuff that I think is going to be lame is something they believe to be the most awesome.  The stuff I think would be so fun is really quite uninteresting to them.  It's fun to watch them in this environment.
I'm very thankful that we didn't go into the water area until the end because they wanted nothing else after that.  In the water area, I had to help other parents and kids learn that 'sharing is caring'.  Man, it's amazing how many parents just sit there staring off into space, while their kids are picking on the little ones and stealing their stuff.  I really try to keep my momma-bear instincts in check, but these times are tough.  So, with a few short lessons on how we can share, they picked it up and seemed happy to have me harassing them because then they were all happy...well, that's just how I saw it. ;)

Pizza Factory

The ladies LOVED making their own Pizzas for dinner. Forget that it took an hour to scrub the counter and floors, following construction and that the whole wheat crust from Target isn't all that...but, we had lots of fun prepping and putting the baby pepperonis on there in the most perfect manner!

The basement construction project at 14215 is under way...wow!  What a dirty project.  You can see the dust that is just hanging in the air.  Derek and Ken have been hard at it for a couple weeks to get this far!
It's nice to have handy friends that don't mind working a lot of hours and on weekends for a little extra cash.  Ken has learned a lot by handling this project on his own.  I have had a couple "votes", but otherwise, this is his own venture.
