Easter Egg Hunt in the neighborhood

For the past few years, we host an Easter Egg hunt with our neighbor's, the Koehlers.  We "hide" or just plop eggs out all over the back yards and then cut the kiddos loose.  Good thing Anna is such a wholesome woman.  She always lends the story of the true meaning of Easter to the kiddos before we set out to eat all the chocolate.
We were able to be in Owatonna and Rosemount to celebrate Easter with all of our family, so it was nice.  I forgot my camera, so we snagged this cute pic of the ladies before we went searching for their Easter baskets that the bunny brought.   How crazy that he makes it to all of their stops for Easter!

Reginald - He's good!

I kindof forgot to update on Mr. Reg.  He's great.  Turned out he had a bacterial staph and strep skin infection that caused all those problems...

He looks a little funky, but is expected to make a full recovery.  He's back to begging for food all day when we're home...:)

Macy Knits

Some of you may know that Auntie Natalie is quite the knitter.  Well, one weekend that she stayed with us, Macy wanted to learn to knit...and she DID!  So, now Natalie comes and helps her and she knits stuff - until she gets bored with it, but it's super cute.  Sometimes, bad things happen and Macy gets so frazzled...then, we all laugh because the whole thing is so silly.

Goyles in a box

So, I don't believe we are into depriving our children of some pretty darn cool toys...but, folks...these Cub Foods boxes are the BEST!  The girls have been sitting in them:  eating lunch, watching movies, reading books, having snacks, etc.  Seriously, the boxes have been part of every minute of the day.  It's amazing.

Shots for our little man

Last Wednesday, we had to get those dreaded first shots.  Poor Grady...he cried so hard his face was beet red and he screamed so loud once, that it hurt my ear.  He was happy for a few hours after we got home, but then he was SO sad, he screamed for 20 minutes, we got ibuprofen, and then he cried off and on for nearly another hour... but, then, we were happy.  Look at these chubby little thighs with 3 band-aids...that is just sad.
Here are some conversations we had about the event.

Let's learn how to skate...

Macy and Jorey are taking skating lessons.  Jorey gives Ken a real eyebrow response to his questioning...how funny.  I've never seen her act like that.  She must have been nervous!  They are pretty good at getting up, already.  Dad taught them that.  ;)

Learning to Ride

The girls got bikes from Santa.  We had a nice day, so Dad took them out.  Santa may have been trying to save some dough by buying the bikes a little big...So, we might have to swap a little for the training...then, transition to the big bike.  I threw that out as a suggestion and nobody freaked out, so it just might work to share. :)  Sadly, they both think riding with training wheels is cool and don't seem to enthusiastic about learning to ride without them...
