To Eat or Not to Eat...

I have heard the far fetched tales of when my sister Natalie and I were taking baths together and the big brown shark came. Apparently, I would forget that the bath is not the place to do these things. Well, the other night, Macy and Jorey were taking a bath when Macy said she had to go potty. While helping her [on the toilet], Jorey suddenly says, "Out, Oh no, Mommy!" I looked over to the tub and saw her holding something...that something resembled...yep...it was a pea! Where the heck did a pea come from? In all my bewildered wondering, I noticed her considering the pea as a snack just as I noticed the load below her butt. Yes, she had a bit of a situation in the tub, the peas must have been eaten at lunch, and I stopped her just before she threw it in her mouth for round 2. Yikes. There are times in my life when I feel like a failure and times when I feel like a super star. That night, I felt like both. What a failure for averting my attention the 40 seconds it took for my near-2-year-old to drop a bomb in the tub, and then a super star for fishing her out, cleaning her up, not tossing my cookies when scooping the remainders out of the tub, and for stopping that pea from round 2 of the digestion. Macy will forever be traumatized by that sight and brings it up often since then.

Now, for a little quizzicle. Macy and Daddy were sitting in the kitchen this week after a bath...but not the bath that ended with the bomb session. This was a bath with auntie Buggy's wonderful heart sprinkles. They were both smelling sweet and clean. Well, Dad came over and let loose a big loud one right on Macy. What do you suppose her reply was? Vote to the right.
And, for those of you that participated in the last quizzicle, you were all correct. Macy informed me that she sucks her snotties up her nose and swallows them because she "likes them and they are delicious." It's true!
