Como Zoo and Como Town

Dad was out of town at his National Softball Tournament (they took 2nd, by the way), so the girls and I decided to try Como, rather than the MN Zoo.  I don't know that they'll ever want to go back to the MN Zoo because the animals at Como are pretty cool and then...there's Como Town.  I felt a bit financially raped by the cost of a ride there, but look at the smiles. ;)  On the dragon rollercoaster, Jorey looked like she was going to cry or scream the whole time and Macy had the giggles.  But, when they got off they were all smiles, so maybe Jorey just had her game face on.
The swings are always a favorite and for our trek to Busch Gardens in May, Jorey was too small to go on them, so that was an extra special treat.  The only downside to this trek was the vast quantity of bees that wanted to swarm around our slushies.  Once we finished them, we were good to go.  I'd like to suggest covered garbage cans for Como Town...just my two cents worth...every time we tossed something in, about 50 bees would swarm all around.  And, for those of you that don't know, Macy has developed a fairly irrational fear of bees.  This fear has caused loud shreaks at moths, flies, and skeeters...on the off chance that they may later be identified as bees.  We've worked on it a lot, so she really tries to keep it together, but if one comes close, she loses it. Those darn bees!
We finally saw some monkeys...they were hilarious.  I highly recommend them.  This fine monkey climbed right up by us, looked at us and looked like it was smiling.  Then, it picked it's nose and ate it.  I laughed and told the girls what happened.  Macy yelled, "Gross!"  And, then, the monkey turned around and faced the other direction.  So funny.  There was also the cutest little baby trying to get to the top with a pink bucket.  After it reached the first platform, it put the bucket on its head.  They were putting on quite the show.
